The Feed to Live Project Zero Hunger is our initiative that runs as a food distribution network in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to provide raw food supplies to atleast 5 Orphanages and Street Families.
In Port Harcourt, Nigeria, a brutal high cost of living is driving a silent crisis, forcing families onto the streets. Local orphanages face crushing financial pressure. Through our Feed to Live Project, we have mapped out vulnerable homes where each orphanage harbors about 50 children. These institutions struggle to keep food on the table. Without a reliable network, hundreds of children face starvation, especially during Christmas and New Year when prices skyrocket and they are left isolated.
To bridge this gap, our organization Touchlives Albert Foundation directly combats starvation through a sustainable supply chain via our Feed to Live Project Zero Hunger. First, we deliver bulk raw food supplies directly to at least 5 0rphanages, securing nutrition for over 250 children. Second, we distribute hot, cooked meals to hundreds of street families every holiday circle and provide crucial off-seasonal support to shield them from ongoing economic spikes across Rivers State.
By establishing this food network, our Feed to Live Project Zero Hunger helps to move communities away from random hand-outs and toward reliable food security. Continuous food supplies allow this orphanages to securely redirect scarce funds into education and healthcare for their children. For street populations, consistent meals during holiday crises lower malnutrition, prevent crime born of desperation, and build a resilient safety net that advances United Nations SDG 2.
