We are still thankful to all our donors for supporting us towards promotion of safe, clean and sustainable mobility in Uganda for improved public health and environmental protection.
However, this part of our Autosafety Uganda program is still constrained due to lack of funding and necessary EV conversion components.
The brighter side is that we have already secured a rolling shell (donor vehicle) with functional systems except for a faulty internal combusion engine which will be stripped out to give way for the electric powertain.
We also received a donation of various tools essential for the project from a Netherlands-based organization Gered Gereedschap (https://www.geredgereedschap.nl/en/).
We have hope on a grant that will enable us aquire more essentials for this pilot and expect to have a fully functional conversion either by end of this year or early 2024.
