Angus Gillis is doing great things within the communities of Ndlambe, South Africa!
The women’s Siyakhula Doll Group has had amazing success in completing their biggest order ever – 200 dolls for the HCI Foundation in Cape Town. There has been a marked improvement in the quality and consistency of their dolls and the group has also taken the admirable decision to contribute a small amount of their monthly profits to the running costs of the Mgcamabele Community Centre where they are based.
Self-help groups like this one are supported by Angus Gillis and participants attend multiple seminars and workshops on craft-work, business development, and personal development. Besides Community Self-Help groups, Angus Gillis introduces sustainable economic projects that increase the ability of communities to support themselves and their children. Projects like these create a rich marketplace for the surrounding area and increases outside interest for products, bringing much needed economic benefit.
Thank you for contributing to the sustainable growth of community groups and economic development in Ndlambe!
