Last year’s floods in Afghanistan have left a trail of destruction, displacing families and disrupting education for countless children. Thanks to the generous $7,500 grant from GlobalGiving, we’ve taken critical steps to support Teach for Afghanistan Fellows, Alumni, and local schools—but the needs are escalating as thousands of children remain without access to learning.
How Your Support Has Helped
Provided emergency food supplies to affected Fellows, Staff, and Alumni in Seasang village (Surkhrod district).
Distributed solar panels and mats to schools in Nangarhar, restoring safe spaces for children to study.
For students impacted by the floods, the lack of assistance has created dire challenges:
No Safe Learning Spaces
Lost Educational Materials
Psychological Trauma
Increased Dropout Rates
Health Risks
Outside of GlobalGiving’s support, we’ve raised only $20—far short of what’s needed to rebuild classrooms, replace learning materials, and provide psychosocial support.
Your generosity can turn devastation into hope. Donate today and share this appeal to help Afghan children reclaim their futures.
