SAMPARC Children’s home, Bhaje for the care of 116 orphan, poor, needy and disadvantaged girl children is situated at the footstep of famous Bhaje Caves, 10Km from Lonavala, District Pune, Maharashtra, India.
The Children’s home was started with 7 orphan children and Mr. Amitkumar Banerjee and Mrs. Lata Pande who laid the foundation of the organization in a mud house in the year 1990 at the footsteps of famous Bhaje Caves near Lonavla.
The children’s upbringing and education is in a family environment of care and protection of Project Incharge, Counselor, Social Workers, House Mothers and Tutors who work with the children under guidance and help of Mrs. Ratna Banerjee, Founder Trustee and coordinator of the Project.
Due to Covid-19, Pandemic Period, we are still following all the Government Norms of Sanitation & Hygiene and Safety Measures to protect the Children and to keep them Healthy and Fit – both Physically and Mentally.
ACADEMICS
As per the guidelines issued by State Government of Maharashtra, from 16th October 2021, children from 6th class to 12th class started attending School. From 20th October 2021, Children from SAMPARC Lily English Medium School have appeared for First Semester Exams in the Schools.
Also other children who are attending Z.P & VPS School from 1st to 10th std their school has started but since their first semester exams are scheduled after Diwali Holidays they will be attending school for appearing offline exams.
To study at home, the Children get help from the In-house Staff and Tutor. The Children are provided both Off-line and On-line Tuition / Coaching. Also senior children are helping small children in their studies.
SAMPARC is following all precautionary measures for the safety of the children. The Schools are also following all COVID precautionary measures have conduted offline exams in the schools by following social distancing norms. At present 6th to 10th std children are attending school and as per further guidelines of Government the schools will reopen for Primary Children after Diwali vacation.
Overall Health of the Children is good. Children enjoy playing indoor and outdoor games in the Children's Home playground. Children also do Yoga daily in the morning for good health.
