Children are among the most vulnerable victims of conflict and forced displacement. When violence forces families to leave their homes, children can lose access to school, friends, familiar surroundings, healthcare, nutritious food, and the security they once knew.
For displaced children in Nigeria's Middle Belt, restoring a sense of normalcy is an essential part of humanitarian recovery. Empower Future Initiative's response includes education support designed to help displaced children continue learning despite the disruption caused by violence.
Educational assistance may include school supplies, learning materials, educational support, and other practical interventions based on identified needs. Supporting education also helps protect children from prolonged exclusion from school and creates opportunities for a more stable future.
