Hello all!
First and foremost, thanks so much for your contribution to community based soccer in Haiti.
Since our initial investment in this programme, we've witnessed the power of sports in bringing communities together. In Haiti, many people feel strongly connected to their immediate neighbors, but not to those who live around the corner or down the block.
When these community teams play against one and other, coaches, friends, and families who wouldn't otherwise meet start to talk and realise how much they have in common. This community cohesion is key to long-term recovery in Haiti.
And the long term effects on community aren’t the only benefit that community sports bring. For young people devastated by the earthquake the positive effects of belonging to a team cannot be overstated.
We see the way team members they support each other and how much it changes their lives, but we need your support to keep these Haitian youths playing! Help us keep Haiti's youth playing and the community connected and talking through sport by telling your friends and family about our project in Port au Prince and why you support it.
Thanks again for your support and take care.
Warm regards,
Emma Taylor
