Thank you for coming here and looking for ways to help families in poverty. If you are here it is because you know the crisis that San Andres, Providencia, the Caribbean region are going through due to Hurricane Iota and the serious floods that Choco is experiencing and you want to help rebuild and support the affected families
Hurricane Iota has affected a large part of Colombia's land surface, especially the islands of San Andres and Providencia and the Caribbean Region, at the same time as the emergency caused by the strong rainy season that generates floods in Choco. The number of victims increases considerably over time, and the consequences of the catastrophe are imminent.
As Quarry Lane School's Spanish Club, we strive to raise money and awareness for humanitarian crises all over the world. We believe that by partnering with TECHO, an organization that brings people together to lift Latin American communities out of poverty, we'll be able to really make a difference in Choco.
We intend to attend the emergency in the short term by sending food kits to solve the immediate problem, and in the medium term we intend to implement emergency housing to solve the housing problem that has arisen with the winter wave
