Ramada time greetings from ECI Care Home!
In Afghanistan, children with disabilities face immense challenges—many are abandoned, orphaned, or denied access to education and essential care. ECI Care Home offers a safe, nurturing residential home for 29 abandoned and orphaned children with disabilities, providing shelter, education, physiotherapy, psychosocial support and medical care.
We need your support now more than ever!
Programs that were making real progress in reducing stigma, improving access to services, and supporting education and healthcare are now at risk, as the US Foreign Aid cut and project cancellations have impacted ECI significantly. Our funds to support the 29 children living in our ECI Care Home are running out fast. The impact is immediate and devastating. ECI has had to halt work on a newly launched project following receipt of US funded contract termination. While this order affects one active grant, it has a snowball effect on our overall operational budget, which largely covers the operational (like rent, utility bills and wood for heating) and staffing costs for ECI Care Home. This affects all programs as we work to reallocate funding to cover the gap.
Now, more than ever, we are grateful for your donation and support to ensure these children continue receiving the care and education they deserve.
To meet our lovely residents, please see the video below:
We are extremely grateful for your support, and hope you would consider sharing our campaing with your contacts.
With kind regars,
ECI team
