As the 2022 academic year comes to an end, the children have returned home. Although Flavia and her siblings help with chores, family life is more difficult during when school is not in session. While in school, Flavia is assured breakfast and lunch each day. At home, that isn't always possible. Like her siblings, Flavia's routine will include waking early each morning to fetch water and then work in the gardens until late each afternoon. Cooking and cleaning responsibilities are in addition to these long days. Flavia hopes that if she continues to study hard, in the future her life will be easier.
