2. The Silent Emergency: Voices from Across Thailand
While society evolves rapidly, the vulnerability of Thai children is increasing at an alarming rate. Recent data from January to March 2026 confirms that Helpline 1387 is not just a phone number—it is often the only safe space for children in crisis.
33,000+ Contacts: In just three months, children and youth reached out over 33,000 times.
Adolescents at Risk: The largest group of service users are those aged 13–15, a critical transition period where the right guidance can change a life's trajectory.
Regional Demand: The Northeastern region recorded the highest volume of calls, highlighting the need for accessible protection systems nationwide.
3. The Escalating Mental Health & Violence Crisis
Our helpline data reflects a crisis that cannot wait:
The 11-Minute Reality: Globally, a young person attempts suicide every 11 minutes. This trend is reflected in our data, with mental health-related cases increasing by 4% year-on-year.
Domestic Violence: A significant number of children continue to experience violence within their own homes.
Emergency Interventions: Out of these contacts, 92 cases required immediate coordination for child protection interventions—most of which involved severe violence.
