Ignite continues to address the significant care gap in shelter homes caused by high child-to-warden ratios by mobilizing young, passionate volunteers. Partnering with 85 shelter homes, Ignite offers weekend teaching sessions with a targeted 1:5 volunteer-to-child ratio. This approach ensures personalized attention, improving educational outcomes and emotional well-being for the children.
During the April-June 2024 quarter, the program reached 2,642 beneficiaries with the support of 341 volunteers and 144 dedicated center coordinators. Alongside traditional subjects, Ignite introduces children to holistic disciplines such as Robotics, Arts, and Life Skills, preparing them with both conventional and sustainable knowledge for the future. Beyond education, the initiative fosters leadership and soft skills, aiming to empower underprivileged children to break the cycle of poverty and build better futures.
This quarter reflects the program's continued commitment to providing underprivileged children with meaningful education and skills that can help them lead fulfilling lives.
