Anthony has been suffering from his Indirect Ingenual Hernia since the age of three. Due to financial contraints, his family was never able to regularly provide the medical attention he needs.
His journey was never easy but, through the kindness and generosity of various individuals, government-mandated social welfare program and Good Neighbors, he was finally able to complete this surgery last July, 2023. It was in March last year when the child underwent diagnostic procedures (clinical chemistry, hematology, serology, x-ray and ECG) to determine if he is healthy and fit enough for the surgery. After several check-ups and pre-operative assessments, the child underwent two surgeries in a local hospital in Tacloban City.
