This year marked a milestone where very important decision by Manavya, we took an initiative of separating the teenager girls above 18 years. Manavya has always believed in making the children self- sufficient and this was one of the way we could make the girl independent. We have separated the girl in a room which is located in the premises of Gokul. In this way they are under the umbrella of Manavya, but have an opportunity to explore their own world.
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development it’s generally associated with teenage years. That’s why we organized session on awareness on physical & psychological changes in growing age & personal hygiene especially dental care. In this session our medical officer make them aware about what are the physical changes that will happen in body, psychological aspects of it and what we should do to prevent misconduct while taking care of private parts.
The average range of hemoglobin is most important part in physical status of our children. And anemia is well-known disease in Indian context. That’s why our medical officer had informal discussion with girls. In this discussion she covered the important of HB, what is anemia and which care should be taken in period of menstrual cycle.
We try’s to find out reasons behind unsatisfied education growth of our children. We had a discussion after watching short film “Paper man” its comparison within the boy in film and our children. For this session we had Miss Nilima Revde as a resource person. Children’s accepted that they are having all amenities for study purpose but they are not performing well.
Our daily life surrounded by electronic & electrical gadgets and it may be risky if not used in right manner. To be safe yourself or other selves from handling faulty methods it causes fire. That’s why we organized training on fire safety. We have Mr. parmar as a resource person from safe kids foundation. He conduct this session in very amicably with giving knowledge about things are risky in which situation and what we should take to prevent accidents.
India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday celebrates as a “Children’s day” in India. On 14th Nov in Gokul premises we celebrates children’s day. As a part of this celebration we organized various competition like musical chair competition, chess, badminton, football etc. on this occasion our employees also experienced their childhood with children.
In this quarter our children shown their hidden talent in various competition like special Olympics, oratory etc. our one of the special children Mohit play as a captain of football team who representing Maharashtra state in special Olympics organized under banner of Special Olympics Bharat. He played on striker position and he took effort to make goals but he better in passing ball his coach said.
Our two girls Sushma & Supriya has shown their hidden spark in competition of oratory. This competition organized by District Women and Child Development office pune. In the bigger group of girls Sushma got third position, and Supriya got first prize in middle level group of girls. This competition organized on the occasion of Bal Mahotsav 2016-17 at Jain Bhartiy Sanghatana, pune. Money is a tool to live life with minimum standards and you need skills to earn money. Manavya always tries to give a skillful education to children’s for betterment of their future.
