Bonjou from EIM Haiti! We just wrapped up our 2023 exam season in rapid time — 125 students in 7 days! It’s amazing what’s possible when you have your own school campus. By offering classes both morning and afternoon, we created a streamlined experience for students and moderators alike. While we don’t have any new graduates to announce, on the whole we had a much higher pass rate than last year, when we were forced to close school at times due to insecurity in the country. So overall, a success!
The biggest news of the summer, though, is that we’re going to be offering Spanish classes this fall! With many of our students looking to work in the Dominican Republic and Chile, Spanish language classes are more important than ever. We are thrilled to be able to offer this vital skill in addition to our regular classes.
Our other big news is that we recently hired a new full-time secretary named Barsha Seignon. Barsha will be assisting Principal Enock in key administrative tasks as we continue to grow the school. We're so happy to have her!
In the midst of a challenging landscape, EIM is holding strong, providing education, opportunity, and community to our students and teachers. 12 years in, we’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished. Thanks to everyone for your support.
