New Additions in the Infant Care Unit

By Iyyappan Subramanian | Founder, Managing Trustee

The Infant Care Unit at Sri Arunodayam houses eighteen infants on an average. Most of these children endure multiple disabilities and are in the custodial care group. In one of our earlier reports, we have elaborated about the Infant Care Unit.

All along, we could provide only mattresses for the babies. Recently, we have procured cradles. Now, each baby enjoys the space and comfort of the cradle.

Another addition is channel music in the rooms where the infants reside. The gentle music enables the children to sleep peacefully, eat well and they are very calm and serene.

We shall soon post pictures of the infant care unit.
