This project supports Olena and her two daughters, who fled occupied Kherson and now live in Kryvyi Rih. Vira, 8, is bedridden due to disability and needs constant care and costly treatment. Olena, her mother, suffers from health issues but dedicates all her resources to her children. Your support will help cover food, rent, and medical needs and restore hope to a family that has lost everything to war.
Olena, a mother from war-torn Kherson, fled with her two daughters-one of whom, 8-year-old Vira, has a severe disability. Their home was destroyed, and now they rent a small apartment in Kryvyi Rih without stable income. Vira needs costly care and medication ($240/month), but receives only $60 in disability support. Olena herself is recovering from micro-strokes and chronic exhaustion. Without urgent support, this family remains at constant risk of homelessness and health collapse.
This project will provide Olena's family with essential food, hygiene items, clothing, and support to cover rent for their apartment. It will fund life-saving anticonvulsant medicine and special nutrition for Vira, who has a disability. The project will also help Olena receive basic medical care and ensure her older daughter, Angelina, has a safe and stable environment to continue her education and assist her family.
By helping Olena's family today, we ensure that Vira, a child with a severe disability, receives the essential care and medicine she needs to survive and grow. With stable housing and support, Olena can continue providing 24/7 care for Vira, while also supporting her older daughter Angelina's education. This project gives the entire family a chance for dignity, resilience, and stability amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
