Support a Special Child to be Independent

Preface:

These months were splendid in term of progress, activities, programs and functions. We celebrated our annual sports events where each and every students of Rising Sun Institute participated and won prizes. Since Rising Sun always strives to provide the best facilities to the students the role of management team is vital to achieve this goal:

Training workshop for staff on "Strategic Time Management”

Time is the most important asset of our life. The Strategic Time Management workshop organized by a well reputed training providing company, Time Lenders, was involving and highly interactive. It delivered innovative concepts and ideas that helped our Senior Teachers, Trainers, Departmental Heads and Admin staff to become punctual and make the best use of their time.  

Quiz competition won by blind section students RSI – DHA on Youm e Shohda e Pakistan organized by DHA

A quiz competition was organized on Youm-e-Shuhada by Defense Housing Society. Students of our section for visual impairment competed with students from regular schools of DHA and stood first.

Workshop on World Downs Syndrome day for the parents

RSI conducted a workshop for the parents of children with downs syndrome on the World Downs Syndrome day. It was an interactive workshop where parents were given information regarding issues and problems while handling children with Downs Syndrome. Dr. Abdul Tawwab Khan, President RSE&WS also gave a lecture on this chromosomal disorder, its identification and early management of Downs Syndrome children. Parents appreciated the initiative of RSI and rated this workshop very helpful in their feedback.

Last words:

This all becomes possible with the kind support of our donors and well-wishers. We hope that the support they give us for the noble cause of serving these little angles will remain with us forever.

All the previous months went good for our all special students. We arranged various events during the previous months. We also arranged Eid Festivals for our students to make them enjoy their selves.  We also arranged colors day and a fun fair where each special child participated and enjoyed his/her time. Annual sports day's preparation is in process and we will arrange this event in February 2016.

Also, our institute participated in the international sports event "Special Olympics" in United States of America and our students brought laurels for the institute and the country. 
The funding we received from globalgiving.org played an important role in the life of all the children who got following facilities:

• Free rehabilitation services
• Free transportation service
• Free medication (where and when required)
• Free stationary items

Your cooperation has brought a light of hope in the life of these truly deserving special children. And what they expect is our love, support and care and if God has given us the power to help them, we must help and support them to make them an independent and contributing part of the society.
