ECCA would like to express our sincere thanks to all our supporters, well-wisher and partners of GlobalGiving.
In the fiscal year 2011/12. ECCA provided 162 Scholarship to 16 community school students of Lalitpur district. To measure the effectiveness and benefits created by the scholarship program. consultation and feedbacks were collected from the school personals. The school’s official consisted of teachers facilitating the Nature Club, principal and vice principals. Upon evaluation, it was found that the students who have received the scholarship have started showing progress in their study along with the affinity towards extracurricular activities.
Mr. Hem Chandra Raigai (nature club mentor teacher of Yashodhara Bauddha Secondary School) stated that students have been motivated by the support and are concentrated towards their studies. Likewise teachers of Minnath lower Secondary School and Tri-ratna Cooperative School; Ms. Kalpana Kyastha, Principal and Mr. Krishna Man Maharjan; Vice-Principal respectively told that the students who used to spend their time on helping their families to generate income so that they could afford their studies and studying materials now have started capitalizing their free time for learning new things and doing the nature club activities. Engagement in the nature club has raised their understanding regards to the environment conservation and has led them for their personality development. The students have realized the power of team work, communication and leadership skills and know how needed for their well being in this competitive world.
“We are proud of our student as they have identified the growth path for themselves and even have paved the way for other students interested in similar kind of activities. Over all the school is getting showcased as the second home of these active students in the community and the reputation is created amongst the competitive private schools”, they further added.
On behalf of the students, schools and our self, we would like to express our gratitude and thankfulness to all our Donors for your continuous support which you have been providing us. In days to come we also seek for similar helping hand towards generation of smiley faces in the rural schools of the country.
