Learning progress of our preschool kids 2017

By Salin Loeum | Education and Community Manager

After learning with us for seven months, we can remain all the eleven students with us and their learning has been improving remarkably. Added to that, their behavior is also getting better and better. In our preschool curriculum, students are not required to learn much about academic subjects. For instance, they learn how to play games and fun activities which is used to improve their body and mental strength. Furthermore, we have been trying to promote creativity by teaching them how to create new things from the resources we have. In addition, we also teach them some living values and hygiene. Here is a brief review of what they have learned:

  • Khmer and Math – they now know how to read all Khmer vowels and nearly can write all of them. For mathematics, they have been learned about the basic of addition.
  • Living Values and Hygiene – they have learned many topics related to how to behave well with others, how to protect themselves, and the awareness of their right and values and as well as others. For hygiene, they learn how to protect themselves from dirty things and how to clean their hand, brush their teeth, take a bath, and drink good water.
  • Creativity – they have learned about coloring and some more arts and crafts by using old paper and paper plate.
  • Games and Fun activities – they have learned some games and activities to play with their peers such as duck goose, jump rope, mime game, play tag, football, and as well as playing with our located toys in class.
