Wilma Fox Child Development Centre provides free, high-quality education for over 800 orphaned and vulnerable children through two primary schools and one secondary & vocational school in rural Western Uganda. Your donation will provide clean drinking water, nutritious meals, tuition, medicine and school supplies for the needy children. For Eight years, Wilma Fox Child Development Centre has been a beacon of hope, empowering students through education and holistic support .
Wilma Fox Child Development Centre works with communities living in poverty in Western Uganda- where many families are subsistence farmers living on less than $1 per day. Many orphaned, abandoned, or vulnerable children are left in the care of struggling grandmothers. We work holistically to provide health, education, and income-generating programs to empower grandmothers to start small businesses, access medical care, access micro-loans and education, access, provide training in business skills
Quality education is key to a brighter future and essential to increased health, income generation, opportunity and choice. Your donation helps more than 800 orphaned or vulnerable children to access classroom supplies, library books, uniforms, nutritious food, clean water, medical care- as well as high quality tuition, extracurricular activities, counseling and other support.
Early cohorts of Wilma Fox students will graduate and to study at universities in Uganda and across the world. Through your support, these students have not only receive an education but have been empowered to become productive citizens in their families and communities. Tomorrow they will stand as journalists, doctors, and lawyers supporting their communities and making the world a better place!
