A New Year Moving Forward

We are glad to announce that in 2016 we have 185 youth who are part of our Youth Development Program. We had our two inaguration ceremonies, one on January 24th in Antigua for all of our Sacatepques scholars, another on January 31st in Coban for all of our Alta Verapaz scholars, and on Feb 1st in Primavera del Ixcan for our Quiche scholars.

In 2016 our YD Program is seeing lots of great changes and we are all excited for what's to come.  2015 was a time of re-evaluating our program, our goals, and strategizing a new direction. Check out our new and improved website casasito.org

We are all excitied about our new look and new logo!  Our tree symbolizes wisdom, growth, and education; while the two individuals under the tree represent all the youth who join our program! CasaSito is not only an NGO we are a family, and everyone, including you make a part of it. Thank you for your support!

This year we have also added an English Club that is twice a week from february to October. Our youth were quite excited! The club got filled up super fast, and we are already looking at adding more clases in 2017. Currently we have an English Teacher Volunteer from Canada, who is helping us develop our first year syllabus! This has been a dream in the making, as before we were not able to have a year long program. And it's also a great opporutnity for all our scholars, learning english will give them a great boost in their CVs, and increase their chances of obtaining a better career in the future!  Keep in tuch as our next report will be a special highlight on one of our scholars!
