Programmatic Report: October to December 2016

In this period the major focus was on Weekend Workshops and Student Friendly Supplementary Education Program.

There were Guests who were invited to take guest lectures, the topics covered were:

a)      Hard Work

b)      Goal Setting

c)       Faith &

d)      How to cope up with fear of exams

Following is a descriptive on the events which were conducted during this period, ranging from October to December 2016:-

1. Student Friendly Supplementary Education Program (SFSEP):

This is an ongoing activity which is undertaken across all the centres of Light of Life Trust. The major focus is on English and Mathematics subject. These are primarily support classes to clear the doubts faced by the students during their academic studies and also helps in strengthening the basic and important concepts of the subject.

This is conducted on regular basis every day for two hours where one hour is for English Session and another is for Mathematics.

 2. Weekend Workshops:

Weekend Empowerment workshops were conducted throughout October, November and December. In all 70 workshops were conducted across centres and the average attendance during this session was 78%. The topics which were focused during these session were Time Management, Team Work, Ambition & Action and Importance of Higher Education.

Impact: It created a major impact on the students, below are certain observations / learnings:

  • Student’s understood the importance of Time Management
  • Student’s confidence level were increased and it developed good rapport between peers
  • They understood the importance of managing recourses and understanding the importance of time in their life
  • They were able to interpret and explain the usage of it with examples during the workshop
  • They understand the importance’s of education in their life
  • They were able to define goals in their life which are very important to realize their dreams

 3. Guest Lectures:

Many guests were invited across centres to speak to students on various aspects of hard work and it’s important in life. These sessions were very inspiring which brought about changes and enlighten

a)      Hard Work

b)      Goal Setting

c)       Faith &

d)      How to cope up with fear of exams

 

4.Parents Teacher Meeting:

Across all the centres during this period total 5 parents meetings were held. Overall attendance during this event by the parents were 80 %. Parent’s participation during this event were excellent.  During this event following subject were discussed: Adolescence issues, Physical, Mental, Social changes, Relationships, Ambitions, Students confidence and motivation. In every parents meeting students’ academic growth has been shared with parents.

 

Overall Achievements during these activities were:

 

  • Weekend Empowerment Workshop average attendance achieved was 78%.
  • Student Friendly Supplementary Enhancement Program average attendance achieved was 72%
  • Case profile completion accomplished
  • Baseline Survey- 100%
  • 5 Parents meetings were conducted during this period by achieving over all attendances of 80%
