Support 430 children with cancer in Colombia!

Como todos sabemos, Navidad es una época de mucha alegría, es un tiempo donde renace la esperanza y el amor en familia. Por esta razón la Fundación Colombiana de Leucemia y Linfoma - FCL realizo el pasado Diciembre una celebración navideña, con el objetivo de reunir a los niños con cáncer en tratamiento y sus familias. Gracias a tu contribución logramos recaudar en 2014 el total de nuestra primera meta: $5.000USD (Cinco mil dolares),de los cuales $2.000 (dos mil dolares) ingresaron como donaciones apoyo directo a este evento.

El evento fue realizado en la Hacienda Monte León ubicada en Suba, reunió a 320 personas, entre pacientes, hermanitos, padres, voluntarios, colaboradores y donantes. Asi mismo, gracias a la hermosa labor de los voluntarios, los niños realizaron diferentes actividades recreativas como pinturitas, competencias recreativas, pintura en mural y tarjetas de navidad; las madres tuvieron una divertida sesión de Zumba y en general, todas las familias pudieron compartir un hermoso día soleado en las zonas verdes de la Hacienda. La Fundación ofreció el almuerzo a las familias, regalos de navidad para todos los pacientes y sus hermanitos y un mercado básico por cada familia.

Durante el evento se realizó la TERCERA VERSION DEL “PREMIO A LA VALENTIA Y AMOR DE UN NIÑO/A CON CÁNCER”. Premio que se propone exaltar la fortaleza de los niños y de sus familias y la capacidad para salir adelante y afrontar el cáncer con optimismo. El ganador del Premio a la Valentía y amor de un niño con cáncer, fue Edwin, un pequeño de 10 años de edad diagnosticado con Sarcoma Ewing, que no ha dejado de sonreír y de hacer las cosas que le gustan; su positivismo y alegría son un ejemplo para todos. La FCL también premió al voluntario del año por su dedicación y compromiso. En esta ocasión la ganadora fue Omaira, profesora de Baile del grupo La Fundación tiene talento, quien semanalmente reúne a un grupo de pacientes para preparar diferentes coreografías y presentaciones.

As we all know, Christmas is a time of great joy, is a time when hope is reborn and love family. For this reason the Colombian Foundation for Leukemia and Lymphoma - FCL conducted last December a Christmas celebration, with the aim of reuniting children with cancer treatment and their families.

Thanks to your contribution in 2014 we raised our first goal total: $ 5.000USD (five thousand dollars), of which $ 2,000 (two thousand dollars) entered as donations directly, support this event.

The event was held at the Hacienda Monte León located in Suba, brought together 320 people, including patients, siblings, parents, volunteers, partners and donors. Likewise, thanks to the beautiful work of volunteers, children performed various recreational activities such Face Painting, recreational competitions, mural painting and Christmas cards; mothers had a fun session of Zumba and in general, all families could share a beautiful sunny day on the green areas of the Hacienda. The Foundation provided lunch for families, Christmas gifts for all patients and their siblings and a core market for each family.

The event was held THIRD VERSION OF "THE COURAGE AWARD AND LOVE OF A CHILD / A CANCER". Prize aims to exalt the strength children and their families and the ability to cope and deal with cancer with optimism. The winner of the Award for Courage and love of a child with cancer, was Edwin, a small 10-year-old diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma that has not stopped smiling and doing things you enjoy; his positivism and joy are a example to all. The FCL also awarded the Volunteer of the Year for his dedication and commitment. This time the winner was Omaira, Professor of Dance Group Foundation has talent, who meets weekly with a group of patients to prepare different choreographies and presentations.
