With your contribution, we can help more children with cancer!
We are just a few months away from the end of the year, and we are very happy to continue supporting children with cancer and their parents. We are certain that our work has a positive influence on the emotional state of hospitalized children, because when we enter each room, some children greet us with a hug, smile, open their hearts to share with us, and when we say goodbye, they ask us, “When are you coming back?” These actions speak to us of the humane and loving work we do. Alejandra is one of the girls recently diagnosed with acute leukemia. She is only 2 years old. Julian is another recently diagnosed child. He is 5 years old. In both cases, there was sadness, irritability, poor appetite, and little interaction with the medical staff. Our psycho-oncologist Daniela encouraged them to paint on canvas and do playful activities to help them express their emotions. Play allowed them to communicate, move, and express their emotions more freely. Their parents are very grateful for the tools they received, which have undoubtedly been very useful in the process of adapting to their new health situation.
