We appreciate first those who have been supporting this project that is supporting 320 young girls in Kyegegwa District and the neighbouring communities.
This project has reached out to 45 girls with the support from stakeholders, welwishers, faith leaders in the communities of Kyegegwa and they have supported with food for nutrition to reduce malnutrition among the children in the communities of Kyegegwa District.
Most of the girls in rural areas 3 of 5 are vulnerables in the communities of Kyegegwa District and this has increased number of girl school dropouts, teenager pregnancies and early marriage in the communities.
CHALLEGES
Inadequate financial, this prpject has been running with support from stakeholders and it has made many to left behind hence high rate of suffering vulnerable girls.
Increase of AIDS/HIV and other STDs spread among young girls,this been caused by lack girls education empowrment which has forced many young girls to resort to commercial sex for servival and human trafficking.
Gender inequalities, most uneducated young girls who joined early child marriages are going through mistreats,child negligency and sexual abuse practices.
We call upon all, to support these vulnerable young girls education to reduced most of these bad practices against young girls.
