Support 26 000 children with palsy in Kazakhstan

We  would like to express our  gratitude for believing in our project and supporting our intention to help children with cerebral paralysis in Kazakhstan. It is especially valuable to receive support from caring people all over the world, who empathize and change the life of children living far away. 

We would like to report the progress of our foundation in the third quarter. During this period we received 885,38 USD from donors on GlobalGiving platform. This amount was enough to pay for the training with physician for 88 children. 

Thank you for your contribution to the positive results of our children. In total during this period we admitted 212 children. They obtained the following results after the course of rehabilitation: 

Able to sit - 19 children,

Able to make first steps - 13 children,

Able to say first words - 22 children,

Mastered coherent speech - 15 children.

This year is the 10th anniversary of our foundation and the main achievement is that our rehabilitation model is recognized by the government. Now, centers are opening based on our model: 8 centers were open in 2020 and 14 centers are planning to be opened in this year. Hence, high-quality comprehensive rehabilitation is within walking distance!

Now, on the basis of our foundation, 2 centers continue to work, namely “Kzhol Shymkent” in Shymkent and center of early intervention “Balapan” in Nur-Sultan.

We would like to share with you the story about a little girl, who took several courses of rehabilitation in Balapan center and she was able to make her first steps. 

Dayana is almost 2 years old. She was born on the 38th week. The delivery was difficult. And, as it turned out later, not  without consequences. 

Dinara - mother of Dayana - recalls that she got worried after 3 months: the baby didn’t hold her head well, and she didn’t gig nor smile. The lag was noticeable and when Dayana turned 6 months, she and her husband went to the neurologist, who diagnosed delayed psychomotor development and a disorder of motor function.

During the consultation with psychologist the difficulties in communication were discussed. 

The parents of the girl accepted all the recommendations from specialists and started to act. In June of last year Dayana started her first course of rehabilitation at the age of 9 months. At that moment, the girl was not able to turn on her own and she did not even hold her head well. 

After each course of rehabilitation, parents saw the results, especially noticeable by the naked eye in the physical condition of the baby.

After the last six courses of rehabilitation, Dayana made her first independent steps! 

“First, she only walked inside the house, and now she walks outside and she even does not want to be lead by hand, because she is so grown up and independent”, - the girl’s mother shared her joys with us.
