In the Dominican Republic, children living in orphan homes are supported by the community. Casa Hogar is located in a low income community and thus their nutritional needs and everyday essentials such as clothing, toothpaste, soap, shoes to walk to school with, etc., are insufficient and of poor quality. According to research studies, malnutrition in children can result in various medical complications including learning disabilities and emotional stress.
Our goal is to improve the nutritional wellbeing and self-esteem of the Casa Hogar children by providing them with healthy foods, clothing, and healthcare supplies, which will improve their learning, but most importantly, their overall welfare.
Children are the world's leaders and decision makers of tomorrow. Because orphan children don't have families to rely on as they grow and develop, we believe that by providing them with their everyday needs, they can grow healthy, live happier lives and have the necessary resources to obtain an education and be successful. We provide them with the tools to learn how to stand on their own and help others in the future.
