Challenge

The challenges faced by disabled girl child is poor health, hygiene and education. These negative attitude towards her makes her not appreciate herself and lacks motivation within herself. This project is aimed and benefiting 200 disabled girls living in Mathare slums, Starehe Constituency, Nairobi, Kenya.

Solution

The project will facilitate assessment for 200 disabled girls annually, enroll 200 disabled girls in school, train them in health skill, organize seminars/ workshops during holidays, and organize international education exchange programmes for them.

Long-Term Impact

Long-term effects will be empower girls with disabilities, enabling them to function in the community, change community attitudes and behaviour towards disability, 200 girls will benefit from this project.
