Train and equip 150 unemployed youth in Nigeria with organic farming skills, tools, and starter kits, helping them grow healthy food, restore soil, and create sustainable livelihoods.
Across Mararaba and other rural communities in Nigeria, youth face unemployment, poverty, and food insecurity. Many young people turn to farming, but with little training and reliance on chemical fertilizers, their efforts remain unprofitable and unsustainable. Soil fertility is declining due to harmful inputs. Families struggle to afford healthy food. Young farmers lack access to markets and modern agricultural skills. Without intervention, these youth risk remaining trapped in poverty.
This project will train 150 youth farmers in practical organic farming techniques, including composting, soil management, pest control, and eco-friendly irrigation. With starter kits and demonstration farms, they will gain the skills and resources to: Grow safe, chemical-free food. Earn income by selling produce in local markets. Restore the environment by reducing chemical use. Become role models for sustainable farming in their communities.
150 youth farmers practicing sustainable organic farming. 30-50% increase in farm yields within the first year. Reduced dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Improved food security for at least 750 households. Strengthened community resilience and environmental restoration.
