I'm motivated to be a part of the program when I heard the testimony of my sister". That was the narrative of one of our new project beneficiaries when she came for her ANC booking at the program facility, in the late past month. Her sister who is now a mother of a baby girl, and a beneficiary of this project had told her how she was supported during her prenatal and perinatal periods. She enjoyed free professional services with some incentives including ultrasound scanning, multivitamin medication and malaria prophylactic drugs at no cost. She also narrated her ordeals during the previous pregnancy at an undisclosed birthing home. Mrs S is filled with courage and hope that she will enjoy the same services.
The impact of this project keeps resonating and more pregnant women continue to show up. The awareness of the need for safe pregnancy and birthing period is getting the desired popularity among the target population.
Thanks to your kind heartedness for bringing us this far. However, we have not been able to fully implement some part of this project due to sparse resources. The time is ticking and many more need to be reached. Together, we can work to curb the menace of pregnancy related complications amongst the vulnerable rural populations.
