"I am encouraged, I have no regrets for participating." That was the testimony of one of the beneficiaries at our most recent antenatal camp in Iseyin community, where no fewer than 40 pregnant women received free antenatal(ANC) services.
It is central to the goals of this project, ensuring that rural women access professional care during and after pregnancy to reduce the global burden of pregnancy related complications and death among vulnerable populations. Achieving this, Oak Rural Health Organization plans and implements programs that provide support and make available, the essentials that promote positive health-seeking habbit among the economic disadvantaged populations. The women were happy to be part of the program which provided them with the much needed health education, multivitamins, malaria IPT medications, and obstetric ultrasound scanning at no cost. These are prerequisites to promoting their healthful living, thus discouraging patronising unskilled carers, which might result in an unwanted outcome.
This project has received much attention in the locality as more people are now showing up. This is an indicator that the primary goals are being achieved. Thank you for taking us this far . Your generosity has orchestrated many healthy births. We cannot stop these services now that we are getting known. Therefore, we need your kind heartedness now more than before. Together, we will bridge the line of poverty and prevent more pregnancy related complications and death.
