Story / Update
Many women in low-income communities face limited employment opportunities and financial hardship, especially in the aftermath of floods and rising inflation. To help them regain stability and self-reliance, Alkhidmat Foundation organized a sewing machine distribution event in Lahore.
Through this initiative, 50 skilled and deserving women received sewing machines—allowing them to earn a sustainable income from tailoring and embroidery work. The project promotes financial independence, strengthens household resilience, and uplifts entire families through women’s empowerment.
The distribution ceremony also included motivational talks on entrepreneurship and self-reliance, inspiring participants to use their skills to build a better future for themselves and their children.
