Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project helping those affected by Super typhoon Rai. This reporting period we are happy to inform you that we continue to provide for the needs of affected families thanks also to donors outside of the GlobalGiving community. The damage caused by the typhoon is widespread and our support is very much welcome in the communities. We are local and our volunteers in the area are able to function with less cost and this is our strength. We can easily mobilize too if there are new calamities. This project period we are able to assist a total of 72 families by providing them with hygiene support, clothing, vegetable seeds and small garden tools. Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative for affected families of Supertyphoon Rai. The situation of the affected families is still difficult with so wide an area affected by the typhoon. I think this will persist for several months and we hope that no other new typhoon will affect the villages. Climate change and the disruption in the lives of poor families is very real and there is a need to provide short and long-term support. We are at an advantage because we are located near the affected areas and so we are able to respond efficiently. This time we were able to provide 300 families with vegetable seeds and seedlings. This is our flagship because we found out that these farming inputs will provide them with immediate food, nutrition and income. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerly yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
