Food security support
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative helping those affected by the Super Typhoon Rai. The devastation and the resulting lack of resources especially the poor is profound and there is a need to continue finding means to support them despite that the typhoon has happened months back. This reporting period we are focusing our efoorts to the provision of food security support via organic food production and using local resources available by the families around the house. This is practical since by the time we leave, the beneficiaries will be able to provide for themselves without much assistance from us. With this strategy we were able to provide organic farming inputs to 50 beneficiaries, thanks so much for your kindness and generosity. Hoping for your continuing support so we can reach-out to more.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project helping families affected by Typhoon Rai. The typhoon has long gone already but the effect on the livelihood of poor families is still very present. There is a need to continue providing support and our approach is to provide small livelihoods by means of small farming activities. We provided this reporting period 75 farmers with vegetable and flower seeds, organic fertilizer and small tools. We also connect them with local government agencies providing free training on organic agriculture and raising of small animals like chicken and pigs. Your support is indeed very important and hoping that you will continue to do so. Thank you very much and Happy New Year.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre

Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative helping farmers affected by Super Typhoon Rai. The effect of the typhoon to the lives of local farmers is great and they struggle daily to rebuild livelihoods. That is why during this reporting period we focus our attention to helping them rebuild their livelihoods by providing small equipment, vegetable seeds, technical knowledge and referrals to government agencies and non-government supporters in the area. We were able to help 120 affected farmers during this reporting period in this manner. Our plan to establish a small office in Siargao Island did not materialize because our funds were low but we are still aiming to do this given that the area is within the path of typhoons and we will be able to respond quickly if we are present in the area. Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
