Access to reliable energy is a major obstacle for vulnerable communities everywhere. In Peru, there are still over 1 million people without access to energy. Over the past decade at EcoSwell, we have been empowering communities towards a more sustainable and prosperous future, by installing renewable energy systems in medical centers and in community facilities. In Peru there are still over 1 million people without access to energy, limiting their ability to escape poverty and thrive. Even those with access face constant outages and high costs due to an unreliable national energy grid. The negative impacts are critical: medical centers experience loss of vital vaccines & patient care is interrupted, families lack electricity for lighting, storing food and generating income, and communities remain excluded from the global energy transition.
Reliable energy access & knowledge gives communities the opportunity to thrive, empowering future generations. At EcoSwell, we implement renewable energy projects that give people and key buildings like medical centers the reliable energy access and resilience needed for them to prosper. By installing solar PV systems in households and medical centers, we help save vital vaccines & medication and empower families to develop and escape the grasp of poverty.
Each Solar PV system installed in medical centers ensures that communities have lasting access to vital medication despite energy challenges, and EcoSwell plans to install 1-2 new systems in Peruvian medical centers every year. Also, the panels installed in households will allow families to thrive for generations to come. Donations will mainly go towards our renewable energy initiatives, the primary focus of our 2025 agenda, but they may impact our other sustainable development projects as well.
