The pupils have been out of the school since the end of May 2019. They have only come to the school during June as we have organized an excursion for them so they take part the Surfrider Foundation (Agadir Chapter) sea-awareness competition.
Similarly to last year when we organized a visit to the Souss Massa Park, the children were ESCTATIC, very happy and content with this adventure. They rarely, if ever, leave the mountains and thus such a visit and competition has been a highlight of the year.
We thank all of our funders for their continuing support and we will see you next academic year when we launch this program in October 2019. We will have new children, new teachers and new ideas to contribute our overall environmental education in Morocco.
We are launching a new initiaitve in the Fall 2019, reworking the gardens and introducing new plants to the region. We have been checking on the school gardens throughout the summer lest the plants die, but the teachers and some of the students continue watering them and giving them life. We are so proud that the individual action of the school is continuining even when the school itlself is officially closed. This is the very raison d'être of such initiative, build confidence and autonomy. Thank you for helping us make this possible.
