Champey Academy Program Updates
Twice each day, Monday through Saturday, crowds of smiling, laughing kids flood into our Champey Academy of Arts School. The school is located near the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh , Cambodia. All classes are free of charge and our students receive instruction in traditional Cambodian dance, music and painting.
Champey continues to have robust attendance, ranging from 65 to 120 students per day. Attendance can be volatile, influenced by the public school calendar, exam schedules and holidays.
Champey offers two instruction blocks daily, 6 days per week. The morning and afternoon class sessions are 3 1/2 hours each with a 30 minute break in the middle. Our classes are open to students from age 7 to 22, although we have had students as young as 4 years old!
The painting you see was recently completed by Ms. SH, a young and talented artist who is just 14 years old !
