Human Initiative continues to strengthen its position as a global humanitarian organization committed to delivering meaningful and sustainable impact. Founded in Indonesia in 1999, the organization operates with a clear vision of promoting “goodness for dignity” through a structured Theory of Change. Its programs are designed to bridge humanitarian response and long-term development, ensuring that beneficiaries not only receive aid but also gain pathways toward self-reliance.
Operationally, Human Initiative has expanded its presence both domestically and internationally, with offices across Indonesia and key global hubs including Australia, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, and Europe. Supported by 228 humanitarian activists and a wide network of representatives across multiple countries, the organization demonstrates strong institutional capacity and global reach in delivering its programs effectively.
The organization implements its mission through four core program areas: Initiative for Children, Initiative for Empowerment, Initiative for Disaster Risk Management, and Initiative for Infrastructure. These programs address critical aspects of human development, from child protection and education to disaster resilience and community infrastructure. Complementing these efforts is the annual Share Qurbani program, which ensures equitable distribution of qurban meat to underserved and remote communities, including those in crisis-affected regions.
As of April 2026, Human Initiative has reached a total of 304,233 rights-holders across 518 distribution areas, supported by 4,083 volunteers and 24 active programs. The impact spans multiple sectors, with significant contributions in disaster management, child-focused initiatives, empowerment programs, and infrastructure development. These figures reflect not only the scale of operations but also the organization’s continued commitment to delivering measurable and meaningful humanitarian outcomes worldwide.
