The SuMargadarshak scholarship is based in Bangalore, India. The main purpose of this project is to enable students who have done well in their 10th standard board exams at the Sukrupa school to continue in college. We have sponsored the pre-university and undergraduate education of over 50 students this year and in most cases have paid a substantial portion of their tuition fees. On occasion when a family is really needy, we do pay the full tuition fee on behalf of the student. Most of these students are first generation college students and their parents are proud of their children.
The colleges where our students from Sukrupa have secured admission include some of the best colleges in Bangalore including - Mount Carmel and St. Josephs. A few of our students are also able to get a discount on their fees based on their family income. However, this is very limited.
