Dear Friends,
I salute to you! I'm grateful and very thankful to God for giving me good friends who are caring, loving, thoughtful, and very generous.
You have really supported us highly in our projects. The rabbits have and are still helping us during this hard time of COVID 19 pandemic but we have fewer of them because the pupils who were helpful in looking for natural feeds are not in school. We have also stopped raising chickens for the time being because there is no market for them due to the pandemic. We are optimistic that we will resume these income-generating projects when normalcy returns.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to conduct
virtues training for the last three months due to COVID 19, but we are confident that we will be back on track once the threat is over. I have devoted my time to helping the children who are vulnerable and destitute to continue with their classes since they cannot access online learning. Apart from education, I am also offering spiritual nourishment through virtues songs and
Speaking the Language of Virtues, and something to eat.
I feel joyful when I hear students acknowledge, guide, and correct one another using virtues language.
I am honored to share the little I have with the less fortunate since I also come from a poor family. In addition to teaching children, I also care for my sick mother who is bedridden. She is the reason for my strength since she finds joy seeing me help the less fortunate with education and food. I would have wished to do more but finances are a challenge. Calling on my determination and courage has kept me moving forward and putting on a brave face with the challenges I face, especially my mum's sickness. Calling on my
virtues has made me strong and courageous to face my fears. Your donations have helped in renovation of the staffroom and so have good friends who are considerate and mindful, and our parents who have been very helpful and of service during the renovation. I would love to be able to share my experiences as a virtues facilitator with you and others on Zoom, but I am in need of a laptop in order to do so. And depending on how long the COVID keeps us from opening our schools and being able to provide face-to-face virtues training, online may be the only option for moving the project forward.
Thank you, friends, for your caring, love, compassion, generosity, and kindness. We could not have accomplished what we have these past three months without your support. We trust that the resources that we need will become available.
