Children currently learning at home and receiving virtual guidance from their teachers in the form of calls or texts messages, located in six rural municipalities in Colombia, have enriched their learning opportunities because now they have access to Escuela Nueva Activa self-learning guides. These guides are a very valuable resource for learning at home by linking learning experiences with family and community, stimulating the development of critical thinking, creativity and higher thinking skills, while allowing flexible promotion mechanisms for students to make progress at different rhythms, and finish academic units at their own pace.
Improving these learning opportunities for children from pre-k to 5th grade has been possible thanks to the donations we keep receiving for this campaign! As part of our effort to strengthen learning processes for elementary students, the delivery of self-learning guides made possible partially through your donations for this cause, has also been accompanied by live webinars for these rural teachers that have received self-learning guides. The webinars were carried out during the months of September and November by our executive director, evaluation and pedagogical advisors, and with the financial support of other international organizations. We believe in continuing these joint efforts to provide solutions and proven resources that can have a lasting positive impact in rural children’s education, and therefore the improvement of life quality in places like Colombia’s countryside. Because of this we deeply appreciate your support and invite you to keep donating and joining forces for good!
