As a community based organization on the island of St. John, it is critical that all Love City Strong programming is data driven, and designed to support the real needs of the residents we serve. In order to ensure the effectiveness of ongoing projects, and to create future initiatives, we conduct an island wide community needs survey every 3 years. This year, we expanded our Go Team staff in order to expedite the process, and reach as many St. John residents as possible.
The survey consists of questions to gather basic demographic information, with a main focus on disaster preparedness and unmet recovery needs. Our 2024 survey was launched the first week of March, and the support from the community has been incredible. We look forward to sharing the results, which will allow us to continue tailoring our programs to the specific needs of our community.
Current data is critical to our ongoing recovery efforts. We are so grateful for the enthusiastic participation so far, and look forward to visiting more homes over the next couple months!
