Strengthen Families in Thailand

TawSaeng's mission is to cultivate mature hearts, minds, and bodies in at-risk students and their families through education, mentoring, and outreach. The vision of this project is that the people they work with will be shining lights of love in their families, communities, and country.

Things have been busy around TawSaeng lately. The new Thai school year began in May which means a lot of students visiting the TawSaeng center. Last year, we doubled our program space. We previously only had one space for teaching 30 kids which greatly limited our effectiveness in teaching the students specific to their skill levels. By renting another space for TawSaeng, we are now not only able to break down into separate classes by skill level or topic, but we can and have added new students!

TawSaeng provides students with opportunities to practice and build their confidence in speaking English. They receive help with homework and assistance for school scholarships, which covers tuition, supplies, uniforms, and school lunches. Every student participating in the TawSaeng program is cared for and mentored. We build relationships with their families and serve their communities through food assistance and encouragement.

Without a program like TawSaeng, students might be swayed into a life of drugs or gangs, but we give a safe place for students to come after school. Many of our students have been coming to TawSaeng for over 10 years. TawSaeng is like a second family to them. We are thankful for our new space, which will enable more students to attend TawSaeng.
