Street-Level Youth Media's Digital Fusion program provides opportunities in audio/music production, video production and graphic design for high school aged youth in Chicago's underserved communities.
15 youth are selected each semester to participate in a paid internship program that creates a multimedia piece aimed at bringing positive social change to their communities. Through after school training opportunities for underserved youth, participants gain important critical and artistic thinking skills, while making a positive impact in their community.
Final projects, which this semester include original hip-hop songs promoting positive images of success, accompanied by album artwork and a music video, are exhibited at a culminating event open to the public.
Street-Level empowers youth to bring positive change to their community, while providing them with valuable 21st century learning skills that put them on track for success in college and beyond.
