February 2016, a dog became a member of “Healing & Recreation Center for Human and Dogs” , which is asssociated with Japan Animal Therapy Association, and the recreation center for anyone to interact with therapy dogs freely, as a therapy dog.
He is Johann, was a stray dog in Turkey.
One year ago he was rescued by Ms. Eiko Kazama, the head director of “Hito to Inu to no Ikoi no basho” – General Incorporated Association Healing & Recreation Center for Human and Dogs – , on the street in Turkey.
In Turkey, Golden Retrever is very popular, but many discarded by the owners and become stray dogs. He was the one of such dogs.
At that time he was gaunt, only 25 kg, and scared at everything. Especially he scared sticks. Maybe he was abused by such kind of things.
He had been raised with the complete love of Ms. Kazama, and many kind people, for one year…
He came to Japan finally.
And we found how great he is as a therapy dog.
Now he is almost 35 kg and very healthy.
Now he is in Japan, and bring people smile in Healing & Recreation Center for Human and Dogs.
