Based on the socio-cultural conditions in which we live in, we would like to be able to provide emergency cares such as of immediate veterinary care and a temporary foster care for cats and dogs who were the victims of car accidents or extreme neglect in Tabio, Colombia.
As members of the community of Tabio, we face daily cases where animals' lives are at risk, because there is no entity that is in charge of these emergency cases, whether it is car accidents, cases of abuse toward homeless animals or cases where animals are abandoned in deplorable conditions and total indifference toward the well-being of these animals. These factors contribute to the high mortality rate of animals and reproduction of unhealthy animals throughout the municipality.
Through your donations we will be able to attend to emergency cases immediately, with the help of a veterinarian or a specialized hospital, who can perform the necessary tests, give a diagnosis to determine the seriousness of the case, pay for the medications and treatments, so that we can save the animal's life. At the same time, in the cases where the animal is unfortunately in extremely poor condition, we are able to offer the animal the possibility to avoid a long agony or end suffering.
Through this project at least 30 dogs per month will benefit by obtaining the necessary help to have a quality of life. In the mid-term, the animals who are neglected can have a forever home. We also hope that through this project, we will create community awareness about the roles we all have in caring for the well-being of animals.
