Whisper delivered healthy baby boy at 32 weeks to a HIV positive mother suffering from stage 4 breast cancer, who was in unbelievable pain kept at home, until her breast fallen off, this is when the fighter Amanda Mwanje finally managed to bring the patient to Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital
As soon as we saw Amanda’s Facebook post searching for people to help this suffering lady to deliver the baby, and raising huge amount of money for the hospital bills, I didn’t wait for a second to be here for her patient again, and offered to help deliver the baby for free.
Whisper sent the transport of $55 for the special hire to Amanda to bring the mother right away to the hospital, however on the day of departure next morning, the family stopped the mother from coming here and instead invited the witch doctor, who convinced them it wasn’t a cancer but witchcraft.
Under incredible pain, the mother was suffering, and it was killing us, but Amanda didn’t give up. She involved authorities to help. In that whole process, the situation went worse and the mother’s right breast fallen off and it was already infested and cleaned by maggots.
Amanda then rushed the mother to our hospital on Sunday evening 17th of March 2019, where all of our amazing doctors and radiographer came together to assess the unborn baby that could get into distress any moment and die including the mother herself. (Dr John Mundaka, Dr Fadga Fad, Dr Isaac and Dr Sekatawa Wycliffe Sparks and radiographer Sam) heads together and decided to deliver the baby normally by inducing the labor. For sure we are in magical hands of God and it is unbelievable how somebody so sick was capable deliver such a perfect baby! The baby was given a syrup to prevent him from getting HIV and will need to be fed on formula only for at least the first 6 months of his life. Formula that will last for 3 - 5 days will cost $10. Any help to this baby is highly appreciated!
Thank you to all of our donors of Whisper to continuous support of the charity.
Our heart is full of happiness.
Amanda Mwanje your rock, as always.
