Stop LGBTQ Suicide through Parent Education

Mama Dragons continues to expand the ways we support families navigating the mental health challenges facing LGBTQ+ youth and their parents during these increasingly difficult times.

This year, we have deepened our partnership work with NAMI to strengthen suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention education for our members and community leaders. Through trainings, educational resources, and facilitated conversations, we are equipping parents with tools to better support their children while also caring for their own mental health and resilience.

We also recently launched a new support space within our private vetted community called Mamas with Healing Hearts— a compassionate group created specifically for mothers who have lost a child. This space allows grieving mothers to connect with others who understand profound loss, while receiving care, support, and community without judgment.

As our organization grows, we are also continuing the transition of our recurring donor program into our new private network and membership platform. Supporters should watch for an upcoming email with information about how to seamlessly update recurring donations through the new system. This move helps us create a more secure, connected, and sustainable experience for both our members and donors while continuing to fund life-saving support, education, and advocacy for families across the country.
