An abrupt and sudden incidence of deadly COVID-19 has hit the world over in few days or months. Every household, individuals are filling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, communities can only remain resilient if they are able to support their daily needs and practice basic preventative measures but not even government is able to provide, leaving many vulnerable people to high risk. local solution is helping reduce the pandemic such as regular hand washing, use of sanitizers and nose mask.
The lock down is impacting families they can't get food for the families as well as preventative kits. More than 100,000 people in Masindi are in dare need of nose mask, sanitizers and hand-washing support in order to practice preventative measures such as hand washing, use of nose mask for health workers and sanitizers in health facilities. Government is overwhelmed with the demand for these services and people are at blink of contracting the disease, which will be more difficult to treat.
The project will provide 200 hand washing cans, 1,000 litres of liquid soap and 500 litres of sanitizers . Sanitizers shall be prioritized for health facilities while hand washing and liquid soap will be supplied to both health facilities, market places and individual families unable to afford washing soap.
We shall see more lives saved from contracting and spreading the deadly virus COVID-19. With this support communities will reduce and curb the rapid impact of the spread of the disease and therefore they will be less affected when they return to their normal duties.
