Challenge

The lock down is impacting families they can't get food for the families as well as preventative kits. More than 100,000 people in Masindi are in dare need of nose mask, sanitizers and hand-washing support in order to practice preventative measures such as hand washing, use of nose mask for health workers and sanitizers in health facilities. Government is overwhelmed with the demand for these services and people are at blink of contracting the disease, which will be more difficult to treat.

Solution

The project will provide 200 hand washing cans, 1,000 litres of liquid soap and 500 litres of sanitizers . Sanitizers shall be prioritized for health facilities while hand washing and liquid soap will be supplied to both health facilities, market places and individual families unable to afford washing soap.

Long-Term Impact

We shall see more lives saved from contracting and spreading the deadly virus COVID-19. With this support communities will reduce and curb the rapid impact of the spread of the disease and therefore they will be less affected when they return to their normal duties.
